I think it will be Sansa

I could see the 7 kingdoms being ruled in the north by Sansa and in the south by Jon. Or returning back to pre Aegon the Conqueror and there is no overall ruler with each ruling themselves. The issue with that is the lack of leadership at this time.

I don't think Sansa will rule, I just think she takes out Dany and puts Jon on the throne.

I guess with no one being left in Kings Landing, maybe they do move to Winterfell for the center of the kingdom...

They've been telegraphing Dany snapping for while so why should anyone be surprised. She said as much. "I don't have love here, just fear" After Jon refused her, there was nothing left to stop her.

It seems crazy given her ability to do the right thing in the past but clearly with 1 episode left this was the way it was going to end for her.

Victorious and dead in the final episode
or Victorious and bad ass crazy.

Not only that, but as she had the Iron Throne in her grasp she finds that another has a better claim. IMHO she trusted Jon when he said he did not want it but that was not the issue. The issue was that if word got out about Jon's claim then the people would want a king. In the end she was no better in Cersei in her quest for power. There have been hints of this throughout the series. Even her own closest advisors were betraying her. If fear is all one has …

You are the second or third to suggest Sansa does the deed. Since sansa is not leaving Winterfell does that mean dany going to fly north? And if she does, she going to burn the place down. She doesn't even have to avoid Scorpions.

Not sure how that plays out. But maybe Bran still plays a part but people keep saying how he is out and DGAF.

I don't think we ever see Bronn again...

A shame.
Cersei killed by a piece of falling rock and this show killed by two lazy writers.

Why didn't they fire the ballista arrows at the incoming army?

And no way Jaime defeats Euron one on one. Euron had been pretty much superhuman in combat up to this point. And now he gets killed by a cripple?
Has he shown much of any hand to hand combat? Plus, Jaime was supposed to have been getting pretty good. Euron basically won then got overconfident anyways.

It makes more sense in my head that Jon is put in the position to kill Dany. Arya is always the pick because she's the assassin but there's no internal struggle with that decision if she does it.

Playing devil's advocate here: Captain Jack did apparently just swim about 15 miles to shore, so he might have been a little tired.

It leaves me wondering if Jon has to pass sentence and then swings the sword.

There is a version of me as show fan without being beaten down by despair of the last two seasons that hated so much of this episode. But that version has pretty well died and been replaced by a version that says “ok....you’ve killed this show for me. Might as well spend a lot of money and wow me”. And that they did.

The legitimacy of the battle really depended on one dragon vs the arrows. Perhaps she did have a better read on how to beat them this time. After the first dive and a few missed she went into dashing all around and coming from behind on the ships. I’ll buy it. The arrows on the walls....a bit of bullshit there. But I’m used to that now.

What it really came down to was the moment the bells rang. She was prepared what that meant. All the forces that give Cersei any power submitted. There was no fight left to be had. When she took off I thought “good, fly up the Keep and roast Cersei, i will accept that end for her.

But she just went straight fucking mad queen. I had always hoped they would tickle that “mad queen” angle, but ultimately wiser minds would get through to her. But that was gone in a heartbeat. It’s lazy and dumb....but they sure did lay on the despair that pushed the insanity well enough.

And Jon pulling back from her definitely evoked who he has been all along. I thought about everyone in the dragon pit last season saying “couldn’t you just lie once?” That was the last straw that, perhaps when combined with the despair she felt and the power she had flipped the “burn them all” switch. So let it be.

Swiss cheese Jamie climbing all over the Keep was bullshit. The way he and Cersei went out...meh. But I will say this....as blah as Cersei’s end was Lena Hedley played it magnificently. I was hit by this as it was happening. That was a very tough role to play in that episode, and she was amazing!

One last thing on Cersei....it strikes me that she wasn’t pregnant. The pregnancy was made up in her warped brain because....what else was there for Cersei to live for. I think she cooked it up to keep Jamie there. When he didn’t she took it forward because....she needed something to keep her fueled and pushing forward.

That kind of dedicated mascination in such a warped mind would fully convince herself there is a baby there....all the way to the very fucking end. It was the thing she dreamed up to keep pushing forward. She’s going to carry that delusion to the end.

At the end she had to be how many months prego? And yet she wasn’t showing at all?

I guess the vision Daenerys had of walking through the throne room that was devastated with what appeared to be snow falling, was actually ash of the city she destroyed.

I don't think Arya will be the one that kills Daenerys, but she may get Drogon. I'm still not giving up the thought the Jon could be Azor Ahai reborn and to save the world from darkness (not the NK, but the Mad Queen's rule), he'll have to sacrifice his life by plunging Longclaw through her heart.

While Arya is a great character, I can't believe she'll take down two major characters, while the build-up of Jon just becomes a side story. Jon will reluctantly take the throne to try to right the wrongs his loyalty to Daenerys caused.

Then they shouldn't have added icicles....

I don't think Sansa does it, but I think a contingent from the North, including her, travels south to join the war council against Mad Dany.

I think this battle stays in Kings Landing or Dragonstone.

Meh, the disappointment I alluded to earlier was that Dany going mad split needed more than 2 episodes

I was right on Jaimie Killing euron to get to Cersei. Just not right on him killing Cersei
