...if it's anyone but Boldin that'd be a travesty.

Gotta say, I'm glad he was gone at the time, but I'm kind of bummed Toby wasn't here to eat crow. "The QB and receivers are out of sync!" "Tolzien is going to give them all our offensive signs!"

Colin Kaepernick: 27 of 39 for 69%, 412 yards, three passing TDs, and a 129.4 rating

Q: 208 yards and a TD

Vernon: 98 yards and 2 TDs

I never saw a rookie get away with holding so much. He took down Smith like 5 times and not 1 call. I dont get it.

So did Smith get credit for 3 sacks or just 2?

Not saying he deserves the game ball, but Nnamdi had a solid game today. I kinda like him better than Culliver in that role. Rogers as nickel corner was good too. Ray Mac showed up too.

Nnamdi and Rogers both got beat once or twice, but overall I was happy. Nnamdi also made a big play on 3rd down to force a GB punt their second to last possession.

Nnamdi looked really bad twice:
1. When Nelson caught a 3rd and 15 pass for 5 yards and Nnamdi came up out of control and got beat for the first down at the end of the first half; and

2. Nelson's TD Nnamdi was lined up way too far off for a goal line play (this may have been scheme, it may have been the defense not getting set in time).

How 'bout calling the OL "garbage" and Brooks a piece of shit or something?

Yep and Yep. In fact Aso reminded me of Cully in that respect. A decent game with a couple of very memorable failures.

They want to keep the game close for the TV audience, they don't want Rodgers on his back the whole time.

One could make a case for Kaepernick, Boldin or Davis who all had extremely strong performances.

EDIT: Probably less VD and more Kaep and Boldin. Even though Davis had a great game and was an essential part of the offense, you can't really compete with 200 receiving yards or 400 passing yards

Nnamdi had an OK game, he gave up a few catches and missed big on a tackle but he might of been our best CB on this night.

Rogers had an absolutely horrid night, especially when moved to the slot. I just don't believe Rogers has the quickness to play in the slot anymore.

Brown got beat like a drum as well.

Jordy Nelson dominated anyone who covered him

If Green Bay weren't clearly trying to stop the run and make Kaepernick beat them through the air I would say the running game was a let down today. However if Green Bay's game plan when they play the Niners is to stop the run and allow them to throw the ball all over the yard they may want to come up with a new game plan because Kaepernick is good enough to beat you that way too. You could give a game ball to Anquan Boldin, Vernon Davis, or Colin Kaepernick.
