One gets the feeling it's going to be a long season.....the first out of a few. I hope I'm wrong....we've all been pretty spoiled over the last 20+ yrs.
Well that was a yawner, Wings need to work harder, they were flat. I realize they just came off a west coast trip but come-on. No one working in front of the net, one and done on shots. If this is the new Wings team, the playoff run is over.
The calls that were made vs what was let go was shocking to say the least, but, let's face it, our passing was on display as some of the worst in the entire league. Passes behind players, stretch passes that were too far, passes on the tape that rebounded like the puck was a super ball. Unless that gets fixed, and quickly, this may be a long season. Remember that we haven't played any good teams yet, except the Habs once, and we know what that was like. We need to spend a lot of time in practice sessions passing on the fly with defensive coverage as a part of it.
Also, why is it that some of the forwards have absolutely no idea what their roles are when we finally get possession of the puck in our end? When is there going to be some definitive requirements for the execution of these necessary dynamics or isn't it a true priority with this team?
