playclock does not matter now? That was 0 for several seconds
There were several instances of that today, either 0 means zero or it doesn’t.

Maybe Aubrey Pleasant was the problem?

It could very well have been AB, but I've got to see more than this game. It's not like Rodgers and company were killing it against other teams.

What is crazy to me is Okudah had probably his worst game this year, but the DB's played their best game so far overall. If Okudah is on do the Lions actaully have decent DB's?

Re-sign John Cominsky this upcoming off-season - should he continue to play the way he has today and those first two games.

It was Cominsky who was constantly communicating to the D-Line the play calls and where to line up.

I see a veteran leader in Cominsky for this D-Line in 2023/2024.
I want to see Pascal play inside on passing downs more.

Kerby Joseph should be awarded "MVP for this game".

It's nice to see him get comfortable and become the playmaker they had hope he'd become - in a year or two.

Tracy Walker is going to find it difficult to earn a starting position next year because he's proven unreliable to play in the box.

Joseph looking like Holmes' best defensive player drafted beyond day 1.
No. It just means we will have a lot of 3 safety looks and probably will not be drafting a safety. Even CJ Moore looked decent on the field. Basically the whole group looks better without AP.

I like the group of 3. Elliot can be the in the box, Walker and Joseph have the coverage.

Outside of the TD pass to Lazard - Lazard is 6'5 and a long wingspan - and the pass completed to Christian Watson, I thought Okudah played very well. He had mostly tight coverage on his WR while in man coverage. Okudah was primarily right on Lazard's hip, and it was a near perfect throw where only Lazard was going to get the ball.

I like what I've seen from Okudah this year even when he coughs up a handful of bad plays per game. He's so much better than his rookie year.

Even though Jacobs needs more time and had a couple of mistakes himself, he's physical at the point of attack when the ball is coming his way.

We still need another outside CB this draft and preferably one above 6' with some wingspan.

That Achilles injury could literally change everything we were confident in TW lll play. I'm not discounting him next year, but you still should be concerned. Every player recovers differently, and every player's Achilles injury, surgery and rehab is different. Hell, it was week 4 that Romeo tore his Achilles last year and there still isn't a peep of words when he'll be back.

It's also a proven fact that TW lll struggles somewhat when playing within 10 yards of L.O.S. Maybe now that Patricia is gone, he'll respond and play better when in the box.

Yes, this is correct and yet we still haven't witnessed what Melifonwu can bring to the field. If Melifonwu can show he's capable of making that switch from CB to Safety, then the Lions are sitting pretty so long as they re-sign DeShon Elliot

Almost Every CB ever is going to get burned, it is a fact of life for the position. I could not be more thrilled with what he has been so far this year, the forced fumble at the end was a huge heads up play that was a few inches away from ending the game there. I just felt in general he was out of position more often this week, and was completely out of control at the end of the play. His bad week this week is still a massive improvement over what I even expected him to be this year. He is a true CB1, have not had that since Slay

Very true. Resigning Elliot too will make a huge difference too.

Awesome Kerby. I hope to see continued growth in his play - he'll have a bad week or two or three in a season as most do, but man, he's so much further advanced with only a years' worth of starter at CFB level.

From the Lions’ PR department, Joseph’s Week 9 performance made the rookie:

  • The first Lions safety to record a two-interception game since Louis Delmas in 2013.
  • The NFL’s first safety to produce a game with at least 10 combined tackles, three pass defenses and two INTs in a game since Bernard Pollard in 2009.
  • The first Lions safety with three pass defenses in a game since Glover Quin in 2014.
  • The first rookie safety to produce a game with three PDs and two INTs since Jairus Byrd in 2009.
  • The first Lions rookie to produce a two-interception game since Devon Mitchell in 1986.

Yep. Cominsky and Evan Brown will need contracts post haste. No-brainers, both. And both will come at reasonable rates.

Last thing this team needs is to create additional holes by letting their own walk.

Are you angry that they traded Hockenson?

That move could prove to be an extreme positive in 2023/2024 and beyond no matter which side of the ball the pick is used for - I doubt that pick or any of the day 1 or day 2 picks will be used on the TE position.

That pick from the Vikings might very well end up being used on a QB.

I am going to need a few minutes to process Will Harris and Anzelone being the lowest rated players on defense. How did we get to this point? I did not see any indicators that this could happen!

I hate to say it but Harris played better than what his grade was.

Thank goodness they changed their mind about Justin Jackson.

You might want to give up your field level seats and move on up to the top - nose bleed seats - like wheezy, so you get a better overall view - bring binoculars.
