While Marleau's singular lack of inspiration wouldn't otherwise be anyone's problem but his own, he is in a leadership position whether he wants to be or not and as Patty goes, the Sharks go. If the longest tenured Shark doesn't care, why should the young guys? It's like making the playoffs is good enough in his eyes.

I'm less critical of Thornton. I see him more involved in the plays, drawing penalties and showing more fire than he has in previous postseason years so if had to get rid of one to make the team stronger, let it be #12.

Meanwhile, we're stuck with the guy until we either win the Cup this year or hit the links so they least he could do is shoot.
