Again.. yes.. but you are not taking into account the extreme defensive breakdowns that led to BOTH Leddy and Smith being able to waltz in free from the blueline in. At some point, Quick is going to let one in that he shouldn't.. ALL keepers do. But the Kings can't keep leaving him all alone out on an island.

Those plays were on 5 guys in front of him - not Quick

True, true, true. Quick bails out his teammates over and over but you can't keep doing that stuff against a team as skilled as Chicago. Against lesser skilled teams even when he lets one in it doesn't hurt because they can score enough to offset those goals. The Kings are just not generating anything offensively. Can't score, can't win.

I wouldn't mind all the breakdowns as much if they would generate some actual scoring chances, but they aren't even doing that so its kind of pointless to keep getting caught

That second goal was such a team lapse, I don't blame quick, I blame every man on the ice. And Chicago is hunkering down weathering the Kings best play of the game still up 2-0.

It looks to me like the biggest difference in speed and skill is that on defense. Every Blackhawk defenseman is faster than any Kings defenseman. They can therefore easily get back on defense a lot quicker than the Kings can generate any rush.
