Buffalo Bills will be coming to Foxboro on Sunday. This is critical for them

Right now the Bills are the 6th seed in the AFC Playoff chase. The Ravens are also at 8-6 but are outside the corral today. Here are the Bills scenarios and why the Pats games is absolutely critical.

If Bills go 10-6
If Buffalo wins both of their remaining games, it’s very straightforward. They need one of the teams they are tied with to lose. Los Angeles won’t come into play because the best they can do is 9-7. Buffalo only needs one of these to happen because they can’t win a four-way tie at 10-6:

  • Bills win two games + Baltimore loses/ties at least one game- or -
  • Bills win two games + Tennessee loses/ties at least one game- or -
  • Bills win two games + Jaguars win/tie one game
If Bills go 9-7
This is the most convoluted because there are a host of potential outcomes. We’re making it as easy as we can. Buffalo needs TWO of these to happen:
  • Bills beat Miami + Baltimore loses/ties a game
  • Bills win one game + Tennessee loses/ties to Jacksonville
  • Bills win one game + Los Angeles loses/ties one game
If Bills go 8-8
This one is straightforward but messy. Lots of games have to go Buffalo’s way for them to slide in the back door:

Baltimore loses to Indianapolis and Cincinnati + Miami loses to Kansas City + Los Angeles loses one game

The New England Patriots opened as 13-point favorites over the Buffalo Bills according to oddsmaker Bookmaker.eu. The over/under is set at 47, which projects to a 30-17 Patriots victory.

This seems a little excessive, in my opinion. I would be shocked if the Patriots won by 13 or more based on all of their injuries and how they’ve been playing in recent weeks.

My guess is that the final will be more like 27-17 Pats. This win will clinch the home field for the entire playoffs.

I believe that the Bills will make it because the Tennessee Titans have two monster games with the Rams and the Jags. I predict they get knocked out of the playoffs.

Steelers get home field if Steelers win out and Pats lose to the Jets....

With Petty running the Jets offense, I'm not overly concerned about the Jets visiting Gillette.

So, you meant the Pats locking home field next week rhetorically?

I don't think that's excessive you guys are going to beat the shit out of us.

Overall I'd say we're doomed for the playoffs, we're the only team in the playoff race that has a guaranteed loss in the next two games...the Ravens for sure will not be losing, Chargers get the Jets with Bryce Petty so they will end the year with the same record as us with the tiebreaker.

So, when the Patriots played the Seahawks in SB 49, who did you root for, Flames or Oilers?

If ....I can bring myself to sit through a whole hockey game, I like the V. Canucks and sometimes Montreal. I own a Oilers jersey, thanks to an ex.

To answer your questions: Patriots all the way!!! I was on the edge of my seat and did a few happy jumps in the air when Butler saved the game! I like a few other NFL teams too, but I always cheer the Pats. They are the team that I just get excited about. Occasionally I also root for the CFL teams, but they are not usually as exciting.

I lived in Charlotte when the Pats played the Panthers. I went to a lot of Panthers games. When the Patriots came to town, I wore a patriots shirt. I had to buy those tickets. Nobody gives away Patriots tickets!

With all the international games the league has promoted, they seemed to have forgotten about Canada. I am yet to make it to an NFL game, but it's on my bucket list. Hopefully before TB12 and Belichick retire.

CFL games are great, but even on TV the games don't offer the same ambiance or feel of the NFL games. People I know who have gone to the States to see a game, also say the same.

On a brighter note, Canadians seem to get almost all the NFL games on basic satellite. I'm not sure I want to try Dazn.
