Went to the game tonight unexpectedly. Was a really great time. They gave out button's for Knubs 1,000th game and he and his family were there for a little pre-game ceremony. The team gave him a jet ski (his little kids seemed VERY excited about this) and, of course, his silver stick (those things are honestly cool as shit).

Very good game from the Caps - especially in the 1st and 3rd (yeah, Rit is right, the 2nd was a snoozefest). Kept Nashville's shots on the perimeter for the most part and Neuvy rose to the test when they weren't. Nice to see OV with a vintage OV goal. And Semin actually played very well most of the game on both sides of the puck.

Very fun night anytime you visit Verizon and get a great goal from OV and get to scream out "Unleash the Fury."

SO close to free wings... damn it.

The Semin shot was one of the nastiest wristers I've seen this year. He curls it around the defender's stick at the last millisecond and hits the inside of the far post just under the bar. Watch the slo mo at the end to see how much touch there is on this play - the move and shot almost at once. Filthy...
