Still two meaningless games to play.
Kings have been averaging over 4 goals a game for about 3 weeks I think.
Not the greatest opponents but they have been scoring

Time to rest some guys and get guys like Helenius, Mallot, Turcotte, etc more playing time. This will be Helenius, Turcotte and Clarke’s first PO appearance.

Depending on what happens with Vegas tomorrow night the Flames' season could come down to the season finale on Thursday. Guarantee Minnesota and/or the Blues will be pulling for LA.

Well Byfield should be an injury scratch tomorrow, to pressure a Nurse suspension.
Play as many scrubs as you can.
Doughty should be out too.
Vs the Flames put guys back in as a tune up game.

Not suprising the Oilers resorted to gooning it up, they are still McJesus and Dirty-dri with a bunch of other guys. I wish Jill would have sent out Helenius and Mallott to sctually stick up for the team in some way to show they wont take thst shit anymore and also show he is behind the team and get that "even up" shit out of the way....instead, like previous time the Kings are going to have that chip on their shoulders (not in a good way) and most likely take stupid penalties in the series

Should be a max of 5 games, I may not be a Buster fan but that was straight up bush league nonsense. Not a hockey play at all and more proof he is just an overrated loose cannon.

I actually love that Buster put Perry in that headlock and held it just a bit longer after getting the penalty....most physical ive seen him and that was a perfect response to that clown

Earlier in the game Nurse horse collared Buster and of course no penalty. Almost seems like the Oilers were out to goon it up last night for sure. Posting an article on the Season Thread, some war of words between the Oilers and Kings after last night. Dunno insulted them calling them the "B Squad", gold.

If Byfield was deemed concussed, it could be 6 days before he would be cleared to play. There are several steps he must clear and 24 hours or between each step

1. Immediate Removal and Evaluation:
If an official observes a player with signs like lying motionless, motor incoordination, or a blank look after a head injury, they must be removed from play and evaluated by the team's medical personnel.
Players exhibiting symptoms suggestive of a concussion, even if not directly observable, should also be evaluated and removed from play.
2. Rest and Recovery:
A period of rest, often 24 hours, is recommended to allow the brain to recover.
Players should avoid any activity that could exacerbate symptoms, such as strenuous exercise or excessive screen time.
3. Graded Return-to-Play:
The protocol outlines a six-step return-to-play process, with each step requiring a minimum of 24 hours and medical clearance.
These steps progressively increase the intensity and duration of physical and cognitive activities.
Examples of Return-to-Play Steps:
Symptom-limited activity: Daily activities that do not provoke symptoms.
Introduction of aerobic exercise: Stationary cycling or other low-impact activities, limiting head movement.
Progression of intensity and duration: Interval training, light resistance training, and gradually increasing exercise duration.
Non-contact on-ice activity: Skating drills, low-risk practices, and gradually increasing intensity.
Non-contact drills: Puck handling, shooting, and positional play with coaches and teammates.
Controlled body contact: On-ice activity with controlled body contact and simulating game situations.
4. Return to Full Participation:
A player is cleared to return to full participation only after completing all steps of the graded return-to-play process and demonstrating full recovery without any symptom recurrence.
The team's physician or a designated healthcare professional must approve the return to full activity

They just showed it's OK to cross check a guy in the head after the whistle and when he's down. Kings take note.

The Kings don't have a lot of guys who've had suspensions, time to take some liberties especially if the series goes the other way.
