Funky finish

Kuemper looked like he was hesitant to try that shot, but he went for it. Avs got a piece of it.

Kopitar losing both faceoffs insanely clean to Nelson. Kings still lack an elite faceoff guy like they used to have in Stoll.

Offense was humming, but no Mackinnon or Makar and that game was too close down the stretch,

The Kings lack a game breaker, most other PO bound teams have at least one if not two. Depth is their strength, not skill. Hopefully that pays dividends come next week.

It is scary though that this was a helter skelter game with at least 7 regulars missing from the Avalanche lineup. Shouldn't have come down to a shoot out type game, clean that shizzle up before next Sunday.
