Kings are lucky to be up in this one, two overturned goals but loosey goosey defense. Way too many breakaways and coverage issues down low.

I can completely see the Isles cranking it up in the third and the Kings losing this game, tighten that defense up and keep the pressure on.

Kuemper and Toronto won that game for LA, the Isles had so many good looks, high quality ones.

They escape a shootout in Vegas that normally wouldn't happen, they win a game last night where I feel the Isles pulled a Kings and didn't finish on many high danger chances. Have to clean things up because neither of those scenarios happen in the POs.

Also 8 PPs for NY, I didn't think there was a worse PP than LA. Guess I was wrong.

Not saying LA belongs in the PO and my preseason prediction was no way LA makes it. But they played the system well and became a top defensive team in the NHL. They are 4th in GAA but have played a few less games so that will likely slide the more concerning part is the top 10 teams in goals against are all +30-77 while the Kings are a +12. I think LA could beat a couple of the playoff teams in a series, unfortunately I dont think they play one of them.

They have the worst PP and worst goals differential of any of the PO teams. The record may be OK but it doesn't tell the whole story, just the last two games alone paint a different picture. They won't make any noise in the POs unfortunately - there won't be 6-5 explosions and there won't be two over turned goals against and anemic PPs like last night.

I just want Bowlby gone and a new GM who has a clear plan, sticks with it and makes those hard decisions to ensure longevity. That means another WCQF and out which sucks for us but is best long term for the franchise.

AEG was hands off during Dumbo's term, which was good. They've also been hands during Blake's term, which is bad. No accountability.

Unfortunately because AEG is so hands off i dont think they have anyone in the know about hockey. If they just listen to TV they would have the impression LA is1 penalty away from a cup and have the greatest of prospects ready to bring the Kings 3 more cups before 2030
