Don't be a jabroni.
Game day and Anze Kopitar Night in LA, what a stellar career he has had. I was at his first NHL game, also saw him burn Pronger for his first NHL goal against JS Giguere. Ms Puck I was a baby - just turned 1 - but she was at that game with me, now she is 18 and he's still her favorite player. Excited to see how they honor him, he's arguably the best King to ever wear that jersey.
Sabres lost 4-2 to Anaheim last night and after kind of being on the upswing the last few years seem to have regressed, happens with a young team. We've seen that before during Rebuild 1 so it's somewhat expected. Thompson has come back down to earth, 28 points in 37 games after two back to back monster seasons but he was also injured this season as well.
Huge reason why I laugh at the "look at Tage Thompson " comparisons, because one guy is 9 feet tall and had some success doesn't mean the other guy will. They are individual players and progress accordingly. There is no comparison except they are both tall, 1st round picks, have taken a long time to develop but haven't hit elite status yet consistently and Buster hasn't hit that status at all yet. Good progress finally this season but he hasn't arrived.
Kings have lost 11 of the last 13, good opportunity to get a win against a team that's struggling and on a B2B. Need to see PLD do something tonight. I said G42, well we are past that and he needs to start delivering or else I'm about to lose my patience too. The heat has definitely been turned up on McLellan, been seeing it everywhere. If they lose tonight Blake needs to seriously consider a change.
Haven't looked but my guess Talbot to start, Clarke probably in considering the rotation McLellan has been doing. Nice cold night, going to grab some soup from Panera and enjoy the game.
Let's Go Kings!
