Don't be a jabroni.
Game day, 430pm on ESPN+. It's a national broadcast which should mean no blackouts anywhere but I've experienced where it says national but then moves me to FDS. Just saying, be on the lookout.
Nothing new to report, TOTM still out, Jill will run the 11/7 again with indications he will return to 12/6 near the end of this trip. Lee and Englund available to check in should that change. No lineup changes expected.
Reading around, all Kings publications made sure to point out Buster had 4 points in 2 games against the Flyers last season. What they failed to mention and what I found out was that included only 1 goal, and 3 assists were in one game. This guy just runs so hot and cold, it's frustrating to see. Two of those three assists were secondaries. I'm bringing the heat on this guy 31 games in, hoping my juju will work in reverse and get him going. Dude should seriously be on notice after seeing Kaako moved and for how little, stock can plummet real fast. His security is that contract, no one will want to eat that without retention which makes trading him difficult.
Kuemper expected to start but I'd like to see Rittich so Kuemper doesn't get worn out. No reason to play him in four of the last five games with time off in between. He's been on IR twice this season already and missed some time non IR, this is how goalies get run into the ground and both Jill and McLellan were guilty of that last season and in McLellan's case beyond. I'll never understand this, very few are like Quick who was able to handle 60-65 starts a season.
Flyers are 5-4-1 in last 10 but inconsistent. This will be our first look at Michkov who has 27 points (11G) and leads all rookies. I'm almost positive he will win the Calder, great pick. Would be nice if LA could draft someone like that.
Prediction: Kings 5-3, goals by Fiala, Kopitar, Kempe, Buster and Spence. Will be wild with a flurry of overall goals in there somewhere. Trade target: Farabee.
