Don't be a jabroni.
Game day again, 5pm start on KCAL. I'm stuck at Boomers in Irvine for Junior I's fun day with his Pop Warner team so we won't get home until close to 7pm. Wanted to see this one but will have to catch the replay, I wanted to see if that last win against Minnesota was a fluke or if this team can truly compete. The Wild are 18-4-4 which is impressive, the Kings handing them one of their four regulation losses.
Not much to report, Thomas activated off IR and Hiller looking at 11/7 which means Helenius may be the odd man out. Lee was assigned to Ontario but not sure if that's paper or a legitimate assignment. That means Burroughs again but Englund could draw in too, he hasn't played in almost a month. Kuemper is off IR obviously and this would be his first game after the groin injury, my gut tells me he is playing tonight. Rittich has done well but like Kuemper have to manage the games played.
Kaprizov leads the league with 16 goals and is an MVP candidate early and with Gustafsson playing last night MAF likely to get the start tonight. Wild are down four regulars so take advantage of that.
Prediction: Wild 4-3, redemption game for the Wild even coming off a B2B. A 5 game winning streak would be nice but I don't see it happening. Kings goals by Kopitar (1400th game), Turcotte and Dunno.
Let's Go Kings!
