Kings totally outplayed in the last game vs SJ as I recall....hope the show up.
Just like that 0-1 on SJ 1st shot
Just like that 0-1 on SJ 1st shot
Yeah baby! Bowlby, what an AWESOME team your stupid dumb fuck ass has assembled.
Can this guy be justified at all anymore? Honest question.
Not much to say. I honestly have only been following more than watching. This team is just not inspiring in any way, and I find it hard to follow them with any passion. Every week there is new Jon Quick article, and I realize how much more coverage these guys get in major hockey markets. No wonder they win all the awards. I am in a fantasy hockey league and even then I just follow to be competitive.
Just looking at this team on paper. #1 goalie is Kuemper when healthy, but mostly been Rittich. Super inspiring. Top defenseman? Gavrikov? Forwards probably okay, but Lombardi building from the net out makes so much more sense when looking at this team. I actually think Spence seems to be improving, and Clarke has had his moments.
My honest take is I hope the wheels fall off this team and they really struggle. Lose Blake finally. This guy must have Epstein-level dirt on Kings ownership to still have a job. Around the Trade Deadline I would really ask Kopitar and Doughty if they want to take a run at a cup with a real team. As cool as it would be to have them in LA their whole careers, they could make real runs as the cup, and Kings could replenish some assets and avoid the Anaheim/SJ route of sucking for 6+ years. They can't carry this team. I would then probably just root for Kopitar and Doughty on their new teams. Get some assets for guys and blow this thing up. They wanted to take their shot at another cup, but the young guys did not progress as hoped (Also Blake's shortcomings, namely in wasting the years going all in with McLellan) and now the older vets are aged even more. It sucks, but it is what it is. The team only looks okay because their division is so horrible, and yet, even SJ now has their number. Even Calgary came into the year with an "Us vs the world" mentality and have been playing great. They got a new young goalie they're super excited about, and it's just a different vibe all of a sudden.
