Don't be a jabroni.
Game day, 5pm start on FDS/BSW/FS1. I will probably catch the third, Junior II has his end of season banquet for Pop Warner. The 5pm start time makes me nervous, clearly catering to the Detroit crowd. Can't have these people staying up late you know?
Rittich expected in net and Portillo recalled from Ontario with Kuemper hurt. Lee assigned to Ontario being a Waivers exempt player, Turcotte back in at LW1. Kings used five forwards on the PP in practice with Kempe at the point, since the 3 goal outburst against Ottawa in G3, they have gone a pathetic 11% on the PP since. Kempe was used on defense too not long ago and he understands the position well but this should be interesting to see. I think Lee is a paper transaction so expect one of Lee, Lewis or Helenius out. Jeannot back in and on L4.
Wings played last night against Anaheim and lost 6-4, Talbot expected to start against his former team. Being a B2B for them you'd think they'd be gassed but the Kings had a B2B last week and threw up a potato against Calgary but beat Minnesota so who knows. I would hope LA comes out firing but slow starts have been an issue forever it seems. Kings play 9 of the next 11 at home and don't leave CA in any of those games. They've beat up loser teams but not anyone really of quality, and now at home foe a good stretch it's a great opportunity to rack up some points.
Prediction: Kings win 3-1, they're due after that 2 game losing roadie. Kempe, Turcotte and Dunno with goals. Kuemper is good against LA but they make him cry coming home. Buster MIA again, gives up this pay check to charity because he hasn't earned $6 million all season and feels guilty.
