Don't be a jabroni.
Game day again, 5pm start in Nashville. I still don't know what FanDuel Sports is for TV but I'm assuming that's FSW/Bally Sports. I'm sure I'll be able to find it somewhere, we had our annual block party Saturday from 2pm on so I wasn't able to do a GDT or watch the game. Sounds like the Kings blew it allowing the Hawks back in and then getting the SO win.
Looking like Kuemper getting the start and Burroughs back in moving Gavrikov back to his natural left side. He's been pretty solid on the right and eating up the extra minutes in Doughty's absence. Line up in morning skate was:
15 11 9
22 24 12
37 55 14
10 61 26
47
44 21
6 92
84 7
5 82
Things could change but looks like Lee, Englund and Jones will be scratched but may figure in tomorrow in Minnesota since it's a B2B. I dont understand why Lewis is playing so much, I get they want him to hit 1000 games but there's plenty of time for that to happen. I'd rather see Thomas center L4 and see more of Lee because of his size although he's somewhat slow.
Nashville went bananas in the off season with acqusitions (Book of Bowlby, P27) and is off to a rough 4-6-1, I had them pegged for winning the Central but again plenty of time for that to happen. The Kings went 1-2 against them last season winning in Nashville and losing both games in LA surprisingly.
This is one of those games where that feeling of if Nashville wins it'll get them going and I certainly don't want that to happen at the Kings' expense. They are down, and LA should be all over them from the drop of the puck to keep it that way.
Nice to see Dunno finally get on the board, need Buster and others to really get going. This is game 13 and no goals is alarming. He's been moved to C3 again but he doesn't seem to be able to drive his own line, Laferriere is doing everything there after being dropped from LW1 with Turcotte taking his place as LW1. The logic there is to spread the depth, and it's working with Laferriere in the T10 in NHL scoring - whoulda think that? No excuse for Buster, Laferriere is producing up and down the line up, Turcotte is doing well on L1. This is a game where if he doesn't show something a benching is seriously due. The Kings cannot continue to win without him getting going.
Prediction: lots of hits, a fight since Nashville plays a physical brand of hockey and a Kings 4-3 win. Goals by Spence, Kempe, Jeannot who makes his return to Nashville and...Lewis. Fiala doing Fiala things.
Let's Go Kings!
