Don't be a jabroni.
Game day again, 7pm start on ESPN. Kind of sucks because I'm watching G4 of the World Series so I'll be switching between Fox and ESPN.
Rittich to start tonight, he got the win in the home opener last Thursday. Thomas will make his season debut tonight finally centering L4, Lewis will sit. It's about damn time. No other changes expected although Caleb Jones could return in for Burroughs as was the case Saturday against Utah. The Kings defense is T3 in scoring by defenders which is a surprise, but keep em coming.
Penalties have been an issue and a poor PK is being stressed. Fiala didn't play after the second period Saturday, he took two minors against SJ last Thursday and two more against Utah on Saturday. Apparently he and Jill spoke and cleared the air and he will be in the lineup (really, how can he not be? Not like the Kings have a dearth of scoring weapons especially with Buster, Dunno, Moore, etc not scoring).
Vanacek should get the start for SJ and Grundstrom should check in tonight. Granlund leads their team in scoring with 13 and is just outside the T10 in NHL scoring. Wouldn't have expected that, thought he was getting a little washed up. As usual Toffoli will need to be watched too. SJ got their first win of the season last night in OT after being down 4-1 against Utah so they're in a B2B, take advantage of that.
Prediction: Kings 5-3. Goala by Buster to get off the schneid, Spence and Kopitar.
Let's Go Kings (and Doyers)!
