If those two games tie & the Redskins win.

We would have 4 teams end the season with 8-8-1. Tie for the 7th seed for playoffs.

Just when we thought we got rid of teams ending the season at .500

Detroit would be playing to knock GB out of the playoffs.

Too many wild card teams.

The problem is and has been the extra divisional team. 3 wild card teams is fine. A 6 team playoff is perfect.

4 divisions is too many and often ensures a weaker team is awarded a playoff game over a superior team.

I'm leaning towards uneven divisions rather than keeping the 4. It's been the problem the whole time.

Yeah, I flat out forgot Detroit and Seattle played. When ninersoutlaw mentioned Seattle being in if both teams win I thought "ridiculous, the only way that's accurate is if they played each other and they haven't". Then I thought "wait a minute, did they actually play?" No way I fuck this up even 10 years ago, I had sports stats down. 10 years later, with a baby and working 60 hours a week and yep. I fucked up and forgot Seattle beat Detroit. Ahh, good times.
