If Seattle/Rams tie & the Detroit/Packers tie
Detroit makes the playoffs

but if Seattle wins & Detroit wins Seattle makes the playoffs. (found that interesting)

If those two games tie & the Redskins win.

We would have 4 teams end the season with 8-8-1. Tie for the 7th seed for playoffs.

Just when we thought we got rid of teams ending the season at .500

Why? They'd still have the same record and Seattle beat the Lions.

Edit - never mind. I see that would make for a 3-way tie with the Pack as well and different tie-breaker.

my guess is head to head dont count with a three way tie. (Detroit, Seattle & Packers would all be 8-8-1)

Edit: My bad I think if it goes to a 4 way with redskins 8-8-1 Detroit makes in over all the others.
think the three way tie is Seattle. :what:

Damn now I am confused.
This isnt fun anymore :D

I just looked it up and I'm still a bit confused.

If it's 3 teams, they first eliminate the club with the worst division record in their division if 2 or more are from the same division.
That eliminates the Pack.

Then they go to head-to-head sweep but that only applies if one of the clubs has beaten the 2 others or lost to the 2 others. So that wouldn't apply to this scenario.

Then the go to conference record and the Lions have the best of the 3, which would eliminate the Hawks

It doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense to me but I think that's what it says.

Redskins are out.
Lions need a win + a Seattle loss
GB needs a win
Seattle needs a win plus a GB loss. I think.

I'll be stunned if Seattle doesn't beat the Rams and the Lions will have their hands full at Lambeau. Maybe next year...
reverse psychology.
Nice!

Unnecessary though. I am rooting for the Lions so they are Doomed!

The Lions can beat the Pack at Lambeau.. idk if they will, but they can. But the Rams are just a bad team with nothing to play for and it's in Seattle.

I call it Mayfield Voodoo!
but after the Hawks took out the Jets. I am a bit hesitant as well.
They did lose their best defensive player (IMO) though. Brooks is out.

That's a big blow. Not only leading the team in tackles(2nd most in the league going into this past weekend) but he is the guy that communicates the defense to the other guys. The Hawks got a little lucky this week. Mike White was terrible in that game and the Jets Oline didn't have a stellar day either. And Mayfield could definitely have some voodoo shit but I worry about the Rams running it down their throat. Hawks run D was better vs. the Jets but not sure how much of that was the Jets not blocking well.

I know the winner of the Detroit green Bay game is in no matter what.

I don't think so. For GB it's a win and you're win. But, It's my understanding that For the Lions to get in, they have to win and Seattle has to lose.

You are right. I forgot Seattle beat Detroit this year.
