with the regards to the last 2 guys in your post, (i know they have all the potential) but wonder why drafted knowing injury risks
Noel wasn't even technically drafted by the 76ers -- but even so, he was considered by many to be the most talented player in the draft and the 76ers were able to get him and an additional draft pick in exchange for Jrue Holiday. That trade was highway robbery. There are guys who are better than Noel from that class (Giannis, Gobert, some others), but he looks like he should be a pretty good player in this league.
Embiid looks like he might be the best player from his draft class. The whole point of The Process was for the 76ers to draft star players. And they didn't care about winning at the time so it didn't matter to them if they drafted a guy who was injured -- so long as they thought he was the most talented player available with the highest chance of becoming a star.
