thar are no pheasants around the Kearney area at all !!!

They get thicker and thicker as you go north........ They are very very very few and far between along I-80......



That's why South Dakotans think they are "easy"

There is a half section of CRP grass across the road from my house and that place is crawling with pheasants. Every morning and evening you go outside and listen to them all cackling.

I haven't been pheasant hunting in probably 20+ years. They sell chickens at the grocery store you know.

Really, do you eat them. I didn't like chomping down on a piece of shot or getting a feather in your mouth that was pulled into the middle of a piece of meat by the shot.

I make them into nuggets though......... so any shot or feathers get removed while cutting them up..
