Once or twice a year, "that team with the colorful good ol' boy coach" would get a prime spot in the CFB TV line-up. Non-'Noles would nod, "Oh yeah, these guys with the funny uniforms." FSU's Bowl appearances and victories would make or break somebody's office Bowl pool. Afterwards, average folks would forget all about FSU. Not one could tell you where in the state of Florida was Tallahassee.
