I couldn't agree more.

I wonder how long it will be before there are stickied threads up for them like Palmer has?

So let me get this straight.... We aren't allowed to discuss any former Bengals here?

Sure we are. Not sure why we can't discuss anything related to football here.

However, can we at least wait until we are so injury prone and falling to pieces before we discuss the demise of our team due to not signing our own?

I mean, it sucks we can't just sign all our favorite players, but the Bengals management do not sign guys to contracts they usually can't pay for. They may release a guy early in contract, but that is because he didn't meet contract expectations.

They do not sign a guy to a 7 year deal with only the anticipation of fulfilling the first 3 years and then taking the marginal cap hit later on. When Brown signs a guy, it is because he is not going to exceed his cap, and he plans to pay that guy for the length of the deal.

It may not be as creative financing as some teams, but it has been working fine as of late. We don't get into cap issues, and we are able to keep our stars for the most part. We offered Michael Johnson and Carlos Dunlap t he exact same deal from what I was hearing. 1st one to sign stays, the one who doesn't goes to free agency.

Collins, I can understand your concern with our offensive line depth, but until that is proven to be a glaring weakness, I guess I am not sure why it is a continuous subject. He was not even a starter, nor would he have been a starter because that is Whitworth's position, and we had a couple decent players to play LG as well.

To me, Bodine was the real concern. But so far, not disappointed in him at all.

I'm not sure our team has to fall to pieces for us to mention the good play of a former player..... Especially when it's particularly relevant to a post on the preceding page.

You're right. I forgot about all those times we've beat their ass. How many in a row is it for us now?

Nearly a quarter of all his career sacks have come against Pitt, and that includes the fact that he had several games with no stats at all, so I assume he didn't even play in those games. He's had his way, more often than not, with the Pitt line since coming into the NFL.

Now, whether or not that leads to a win involves more factors than just how well he plays against Pitt, mainly the poor play of Dalton and the offense in the past 3 years.

Nobody said that. It's just that it's been hashed and rehashed ad nasium in regards to both Collins and Johnson. They were good players when they were here. They aren't Bengals anymore. It's time to move off the topic. We will find players to replace them. We have a good football team.

And that's a good thing...
