Mine have us 3rd, logically, behind Seattle and the team that beat them, and knocked us out of the playoffs last year, San Diego.......We are one of the last two teams to beat Seattle at home, along with Arizona........

I agree with with the power rankings of us being 1st, at least for now. This is a week to week tool of how teams are currently doing.

We are +47 in point differential.

The next closest team is Atlanta (+31) who just beat the TB Buccs 56-14, a 42 point differential.
The next closest to Atlanta, is Philadelphia who is at +23.

Baltimore = 2-1 (only loss came to us AT Baltimore)
Atlanta = 2-1 (only loss came to us by 14 week before beating TB by 42)
Tennessee = 1-2 (2 losses, 1 of which came to us, the other to Dallas who is starting to figure it out)

These teams are a combined 5-1 when not playing us.

That is so far ahead of the crowd and league at +47, I don't think it can be argued that we are not #1 right now with a 3-0 record, and a +47 point differential (16 up on the next closest team, and 24 up on the 3rd)

We now have an offense that seems really creative, that empowers Dalton instead of forcing him to be the driving force of this offense. He is controlling and managing the offense well, not making many mistakes and we are getting a couple guys healthy over this bye period, to go along with our most dynamic tandem of RB's since 88'.

Defense + solid run game + creative offense + superstar WR + game managing QB who is making less mistakes = a quality team to be reckoned with. Plus, we have pretty good depth on this team as well.

hopefully we don't emulate the lions and implode despite having many keys in place.

every year someone tells me the lions have all the tools to win the superbowl.

Their defense is suspect and they do not have much depth outside their starters. I haven't considered Detroit a SB contender since way back in the day.

Hue is a an improvement. You know we lose 1 to Pit, Balt, and probs Cleve. But we're better with Huey. We give up lots of yards. I would use AJ often and oftener

Detroit won't do shit as long as their quarterback plays for my fantasy team. I swear if the Steelers start to fuck with us again I'm trading for Roethlisberger and starting him.

No worries.

I just killed Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald and Chris Johnson's careers.

Seattle was 4-4 that year (2011) at home. That was pre-Wilson, and they lost to SF and Washington at home after losing to us.

No worries. My memory starts making all the seasons start running together. I remember something like it just happened, but it may have happened 3 years ago, or whatever. My memory is going to crap too.

Listen, we are good. We just need to believe we can hang with any of these guys -- seriously, you think San Diego did anything to Seattle that we could not do 2x better? We have a kick ass defense. I have seen nothing that scares me in this league that we cannot handle. Play like you have some brass fucking balls. You know why? Because you have the talent and coaching FINALLY to back it up.

Play mean and WIN.

The Bengals have been the best team in the league so far this year. I agree with the ranking if it's based off strictly the results this season. It's scary to think they've done this with injuries to Burfict, Green and Marvin Jones. Atkins probably isn't at 100 percent yet either.

This team was easily one of the top teams last year as well. We were top 10 in offense and defense and dominant at home.

No doubt this is a top team.

Now they just need to win where they haven't in the past.... Primetime, playoffs, consistent effort against great teams, etc.

Zeitler missed last game as well.... And Leon is coming off a major injury.

Impressive depth on this team.

I think this is the biggest overlooked factor during the season. It's not "if" you stay healthy, but how you can get along when guys get injured, because it will happen. Outside of having a major component go down (Brees, Rodgers, Manning, etc...) the depth will be tested.

This is also a OL that has done a solid job with its depth despite everyone's outcry for losing Collins. It's hard to complain when your OL is getting all positive grades from PFF.

Certainly can't complain right now.... But I still think it could hurt us down the road this season. Time will tell.

Let's hope Hue keeps them guessing -- He's been the real deal.
