We needed to get younger and athletic and we did. If the majority of the team, who's either on expiring contract or 1 year deal can have a solid year, we'll make the playoffs no doubt. With Kobe that'll be a plus.

Intrigued by the play of Farmar first, then X, Wesley, Kaman, and even the kid Kelly if he gets a few minutes. Having watched every pre season game, my concerns in this order:

*Lack of interior defense -- no brainer but if Pau/Kaman start that may change a bit; having Farmar over Nash will help to fend off those quick guards we'll face
*Too many uncontested lay-ups -- gotta get a body or some type of challenge especially those coast to coast drives
*Inconsistency between the first and second units -- we are deep and that'll keep the fellas hungry knowing they'll get minutes -- with set rotations it might become a good habit to know each other and maintain a level of consistency.

Got 4 more wins in preseason than past two years combined....with a hobbling Nash, recovering injury from Pau, new players, and no Kobe. That's what I'll take from it so far.

Now the real season begins and I'm excited and curious to see how they'll all perform when it counts.

I have to admit I LOVED the speed and energy the 2nd unit has brought. And the aggressiveness. Hoping they keep that up...
