I'm hoping for the Giants to sign Greinke as a double whammy, re-sign Leake and/or sign Zimmerman. Although, Shelby Miller would be enticing...and the Giants DO have the pieces available to trade for him if need be. I would rather the Giants trade for a CF then a pitcher. This year's FA SP class is so deep.

Greinke would be a good fit for the Giants, was hoping the Blue Jays would go after him in case Price doesn't come back.

What pieces?

Belt is of almost no value to them since they already have freeman. And control freeman for much longer than they could control belt.

We have catchers, middle INF, and pitchers coming out of our ears. Susac, Arroyo, Beede, Black, Mejia, Stratton, Blackburn, Strickland, etc. There are plenty more minor leaguers that the Giants are high on and let's face it, it's not like the Braves are winning tomorrow. Depending on what they are looking for, the Braves might find quite a few helpful pieces that the Giants would be willing to part with.

Susac is a perfect fit for Atlanta. Further, arguably our top prospect, Christian Arroyo, is blocked at every position in the SF infield. The Giants LOVE him, but there just isnt room at the inn...

No one is claiming Belt is a good fit for Atlanta. He isnt.

I'm not as bullish on Arroyo as you guys seem to be. Little power. Limited athlete. Unlikely to stick at SS, his numbers are very much BABIP inflated (meaning: very hard to repeat).

Susac is already 25. I would think that's a big deal to ATL. But he's definitely a better fit.

I'd think Susac and Beede would be the starting point of any negotiation.

You are probably right about Beede being of more value to the Braves. But they have been stock-piling pitchers over the last year or so. They may be more interested in getting positional help at this point.

Arroyo is not a power hitter. Granted. But he is in the same mold as Panik / Duffy / Tomlinson, only with more tools than any of these guys on the whole (Panik has better defense, Tomlinson has better wheels). On top of that, the top tool that this kid has, by ALL reports on him, is that he is an absolute clubhouse leader. He will be a successful MLBer, barring injury. That is his floor. And he just had a monster season in the AFL at the age of 20 and will most likely start 2016 in AA.

We may be a bit bullish on him. That is possible. But you are certainly too bearish on him.

It's starting to look like Greinke is going to be the big LAD/SF battle. And the lose could be a major FA loser.

Lackey looks like he is going to finish his career on the Cubs. Best playoff pitcher on the Cardinals last year so hopefully he is going to run out of gas next year.

Latos is a cancer to any clubhouse. The older he gets, the shittier he pitches yet the more he runs his mouth.

I'm not sure he's cancerous at all. He certainly looks like it but I don't remember any teammates having issues with him.

He openly questioned Reds Management, then openly bitched about playing time while sporting a 6.66 ERA with the Doyers. He's the prototypical "take my ball and go home" spoiled brat of an athlete. If it doesn't go his way, he pouts. He was like that when he was with your Padres, he was just more about body language then. Now he has apparently learned how to use his mouth and baseball in general would be better if he were mute.
