Too much money and too long of deal. Do not like it at all.

Engelland should never play another minute.
Despres will be paired with Orpik, Scuderi, or Niskanen. One of Niskanen or Orpik will be dealt. I'm okay with either. Orpik makes too many mistakes and Niskanen's play really fell off at the end of last season. Scuderi is an upgrade over both, so acquiring him makes one of them expendable. Which could bring back some assets in a trade (draft picks, prospects, forward depth).

I would have liked a 2-3 year deal better than 4, but the money is fair, and we needed a Scuderi-like defenseman if we were going to succeed in the playoffs, so the deal is fine with me.
