It's okay, if he gets hurt bad, they just need to hold him on LTIR until after the contract expires and it doesn't count against the cap.



Saddest part - Goodbye Vinny Props. Unless the money is reasonable and they can keep him a year more for cheap.

Nathan Horton's deal with CBJ is 7 years, $37.1 ($5.3 AAV) but he gets $30M in first 5 years.

Notice the lack of NTC. Last two years of the deal are gonna hurt, cap wise but provided the shoulder gets healed up nice I am ok with this.
