wow.QB, WR, QB, Safety, QB, MLB, QB, WLB and did I mention QB?![]()
AH and carter are unsignedYet they don’t give him the snaps, but they do Adam Humphries.
We can stop talking DW now.Kyle Allen goes to the Texans... do we have the beginning of a trend?
Hey, there's only about another week or two of D. Watson's availability left and unlike the incessant Cousins foolishness, I'll stop mentioning him. (Unless there's a miracle!!)
AH and carter are unsigned
Looks like JuJu didn't get the offers he was looking for, so he settled on KC, hoping to boost his value and try FA again next year.

That's usually an issue of practice effort and results. If someone is killing it in practice, they'll get some snaps regardless of their athletic ability. Hell, the Niners drafted a WR in the 1st rd that barely saw the field before he was traded away for some used footballs--the guy either didn't put in the practice effort or other WRs were simply showing better in practice. I mean....There is a reason that the guy went from starting 10 games one season to starting 3 games the next, right? And then the issue is whether, when given the chance to play, does he run the right routes, make the right adjustments, and produce...I was referring to last season. AH was given every opportunity and was complete ass.
Carter fulfilled the role required for him to make the team…as you and I stated. He was a pleasant surprise.
I can't disagree with anything that you've written but coaches are human and almost all of them want to see something in practice, however, there are players who are just gamers. For them, practice (I want to insert A. Iverson here) doesn't mean a lot but come game time...Looks like JuJu didn't get the offers he was looking for, so he settled on KC, hoping to boost his value and try FA again next year.

Sims has all the athletic, height/weight/speed potential in the world, but now that he's entering his 5th season, his potential means JACK SQUAT.
True, some players are just a lot better in game then they are in practice. I think we'd both agree that after 4 seasons, you've got a very good idea of whether a player is a gamer or not. And Sims is...a team's 3rd or 4th WR at best.I can't disagree with anything that you've written but coaches are human and almost all of them want to see something in practice, however, there are players who are just gamers. Sorry I misread what you were sayingI was referring to last season. AH was given every opportunity and was complete ass.

Sims is a 4th-6th wr . He was an UDRFA and we have gotten 5 yrs out of him . I would say that is good . I don’t think he will be much better then he is . And that is okLooks like JuJu didn't get the offers he was looking for, so he settled on KC, hoping to boost his value and try FA again next year.

No question about Sims, I just wanted to add something to what was/is a very good point!True, some players are just a lot better in game then they are in practice.
