That is why a pick like Al Wilson felt really good to me when we took him. People let him slide based on measureables, but the guy was a beast in college for 4 years. One of those guys who it felt like he played college for 12 years because he left a mark every game.
Exactly! Measurables to me should maybe be 5% of the process when it comes to prospects. Make sure they meet certain baseline measurements but beyond that I wouldn't read too much into them. Now maybe if you have two players rated very closely at the same position then measurables could be the difference in deciding which one to rank higher, but to me production is such an important part of the picture. Again if they can't do it against college competition what are the odds that they will be able to do it against NFL competition?
