I am not crazy about letting Rak hit FA, but we will see what happens. We don't know what these guys are wanting in contract negotiations, so let's not pass judgement on Allen just yet. Sounds like Riley is wanting 6-7 per and Orakpo is looking for 8 digits. Let it all play out. Besides, everyone on that list is replaceable, although losing Orakpo might sting pretty bad.

Rak is going to want huge money. I think he is as good as gone. Especially with the cap being raised. Yes Jenkins makes sense. But I just think Jordan can be an impact player for us. a 2nd round pick is a small price to pay for an impact sack guy. I just hope we don't overpay for Rak.

Are they switching back to a 3-4 because you said they are bringing in a whole new system? If so, why would we bring him here for our 3-4 if he doesn't fit their 3-4?


No matter what your answer, I don't think Jordan is the answer here...maybe a 3rd but not a second. Personally, I'd just give Jenkins a shot.

Why would we tag what has been deemed an average OLB who isnt a game changer for $11 million when we dont want to pay him more than $8 million a year??

Again I will ask, why would you tag a guy for more than you want to pay him yearly only to end up in a situation like most teams that have used the tag recently. They get a one year deal and screw their cap for that year.

I say if he you cant work out a long term deal, screw it let him walk. We were 3-13. no one on this team is that good that we should use the tag. And none of our LBs are worth more than around 3-8 million a year depending on which guy you are speaking of in any case.

Im just getting on board man. If Rak wont play for $8-9 million a year then he can go else where.Riley is average at best. Both can easily be replaced with better production for alot less than they want so we dont need them any way.

Because this is a BUSINESS Shark! Riley is just that, average and can be replaced. Rak on the other hand is VERY GOOD, not elite. He wants elite money and the Skins are not willing to pay that just yet. Maybe when he finally has an elite season, he will get elite money. For now, the tag will do and let's see how he approaches the season playing under the tag.

We have to be smart with our money. Having Rak play under the tag would be the smart thing to do if a deal can't be worked out. If Riley won't play for $5M per year then let him walk.
