Not saying he didn't get it there, but he was playing a version of Russian roulette by making West Wing staffers uncomfortable if they were seen wearing a mask in his presence (thus people stopped wearing masks) and continuing to meet people from all over the place and not wearing a mask. That was probably just an additional spreader event. A lot of those people were in the Trump orbit and involved in prep.

It's looking more likely the source was the Notre Dame guy and all the trotting around of Amy Coney Barrett on Saturday. She had it over the summer and recovered (and there's conflicting information about re-infection and immunity), Notre Dame dude was there and is positive and Senator Lee who was with her all day is positive. Hope Hicks was around them and went to the debate prep session with Trump, Christie and Giuliani Monday and then got on the plane with a bunch of people Tuesday. She presented symptoms on Tuesday at the debate. So with the assumed incubation period, that puts her getting it Saturday or Sunday. Trump presented symptoms last night and today so that puts him around Monday.
