If the leading legislator in the world's largest economic powerhouse can be duped by a hair dresser into not following her own laws and rules it doesn't really matter whether it was a setup or not.

And the fact that Trump did this or did that or any other Republican moron may have done any other dumb shit is the kind of whataboutism that I thought the other side were supposed to be above. Her getting defensive about it serves nobody.

There's a real section of people who have access to ballots in November whose lives are completely fucked over right now and they keep seeing these politicians telling them one thing and doing another and it can only have a bad impact on how they lean come November. The fact that Republicans do the same shit doesn't really matter since almost all of the people who think masks/distancing/shutdowns etc. are dumb are already voting for them.

When people hear about Pelosi, or Cuomo, or the mayor of Philly, or the mayor of Chicago, or any one of the other of the people who excoriate constantly online and in press conferences people who aren't following their own regulations it pisses them off and when you piss off average people they get sucked into the Facebook whirlpool that leads them to think "fuck these people, I'll show them" and vote against them and their ilk come November. This is literally the fuel being poured on the fire.

So either do what the fuck you say or shut the fuck up. If it's hard for your constituents it HAS to be hard for you too. There's no in-between here.
