Meh, I'm not a big fan of this. If this is where people migrate I'll make do but this is a really crowded layout.

I hit the little arrow thingy to collapse the forums I have no interest in.

Glad to see more of my Pats buddies migrating over! :suds:

kind of odd they didn't have many Pats fans here before given our dominance at that old place.

Hey ziggy, glad you made it over... I was wondering that as well.. I guess we were just so dominate over on CBS others didn't bother much.. Well we are gathering a force over here now I'm sure we will rule these boards soon enough.

Ken's another one. I'm still pissed they didn't at least warn us though. Literally 2 or three days warning for people to communicate what they would do would be a huge difference between many never considering coming back if boards returned and them having a shot when they realize they screwed up.

BigKen has posted here.

Yeah, a warning would have been nice, a courtesy even.
The only reason I go back is to see if any one has left a clue where they might be posting.
CBS has lost me.

To all my fan freinds in Beantown....hug a cop for me, GREAT job!!!

Let me ask you guys something - did you post on the NFL general board at CBS? If so, did they allow off-topic (non-nfl) threads?

I did, and they generally moved off topic discussions to a separate board. There were, for example, several discussions of gay rights in the context of NFL players coming out, though.

In the patriots specific board there were a few off topic posts for fans to congregate, though.

If you guys get a crew up here, we could probably give one or more of you mod privileges, to run the board as you wish (within the general site guidelines).

I don't know what circumstances would make you consider this necessary, but if this is needed I would be willing to do it. There are others that have moved over that would probably be a better fit, but if none of them are available to do it I probably will end up being active enough to do it. I'm a computer science major who needs some time staring at non-programming text while I'm programming as a mental break, and I love my football so will likely be around some.

I hate programming.

But it pays the bills for now. Back into game design soon enough :]

Unless you're having others code the game would game design not be programming?

I didn't know any of you guys coded, though.

Game design is distinct from programming. Basically the game designer makes the rules for the game, designs the levels, writes the story if there is one, etc. Artists create the visual and audio assets that will make it come alive. Programmers put it all together and make it work.

I'm working on indie games now, so realistically I'll be programming and designing starting in a month or so, but that's still quite different from just programming for someone else for pay >.>
