I would guess it has more to do with the DT that was supposed to be suspended ended up beating the suspension so they didn't have the need at DE anymore. Kind of surprised the Broncos haven't brought him back with such a need at the DL with depth.

From memory, the Broncos have been notorious for using ( wasting ) a roster spot on a return specialist ... This is another reason why I like Norwood - he actually contributes on offense and was our PR guy ..
In addition to preserving a roster spot, if the returner is an offensive or defensive player, they are not like a deer in the headlights being thrown out on the field completely cold ..
You can have a return specialist standing on the sideline for a half hour, even an hour in real time and then it's like "OK, now go out there on that island and field the punt" ..
If the Cards can put Patrick Peterson back there, I see no reason why we can't find someone who can field a punt who also plays another role ..
