Jameis Winston is the offensive rookie of the month
The draft bust was the offensive rookie of the month.
They did a lot of gimmicky stuff with RGIII that got him injured and was figured out by the league quickly. With Winston, he's the prototypical pocket QB playing at a high level as a rookie. I think his ceiling is Roethlisberger and floor is Kerry Collins. I don't know quite how good he is yet but I feel confident he's a legitimate starting QB for the next 10 yrs barring injuryThat doesn't mean anything. RGIII won rookie of the year and I bet all but the most delusional Redskins fan wishes they would have never drafted him.
I'm not saying Winston will or won't be a bust, just that early success doesn't really mean a whole lot.

I think the other part of this is to understand that RGIII set them back as a franchise more than any other player because they had to trade up and get him. The Bucs and Titans didn't have to do such a thing so they don't lose as much if these guys bust. I would say that is why RGIII so far has been the worst bust of any rookie in NFL history because of what his team had to give up on top of him not being that great of a player.
I still think 3 1st round picks are greater than a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th. But yeah, I would have to say they are pretty close to one another. Hershal Walker used to be up there.
LOL take away the game against the pitiful Eagles and he was 77 for 140, 55 Comp %, 933 Yards, 6.66 YPA and threw only 2 TDs with 3 interceptions over 4 games. He had one hell of a week, but month???? There must have been slim pickings from the rookie class.
