Bob Myers said the Warriors are fielding offers that would use the team's $9.8 million traded-player exception, which expires July 10.

No clue what this could mean... but I'm intrigued

It means the Warriors are serious about upgrading the bench. The exception will likely be used on a player who teams want to get off their books. One name being floated around is Jeremy Lin. The Rockets plan on pursuing Melo/Lebron and would need every penny of cap space to make that happen. Two other players I've heard floated were Thaddeus Young and Ryan Anderson. Those two may be guys the teams don't necessarily want gone but would use to get a bigger piece. If that's the case I don't think the Warriors would deal for them.

Another player I think the Warriors should look into is Anderson Varaejo. He could be used nicely in a backup Center/PF role. He's that typical hustle and energy guy. He is injury prone, so it's a risk, but his contract will be an expiring one. Worst case scenario is the Warriors could dangle him at the deadline again to see if they can get back other quality players.
