omg.. again with this? he beat the fuck out of talbot and the crowd was probably as into a hockey game as i've ever seen.. the pens get 2 lucky bounces, including one where the puck rolled into the net off a flyer and one that bounced straight up for cros to bat out of the air.. that loss was not carcillo's fault and if you think it is you either didn't watch the game, or you dont know hockey.. when a guy gets the tar beat out of him that team doesn't gain momentum.. it was one of the more lopsided fights i've seen in the past 5 years

the only reason i think it mattered is because he teammates said it mattered. jmo though. they did say it was helpful...said it was uplifting to see someone step up and do something.

of course they would say that. look at the game. eaton hits it out of mid air, crosby hits one out of mid air and biron lets in a weak one. unless it had some effect on the bounces and biron then it did nothing.

i'm just saying it sparked a little bit of life, ya know? geno was very very fired up on the following shift. i think it sparked THAT goal though, not the others. because the first goal was a gritty garbage goal.

scott, trust me i'm not one who thinks it was the be all and end all, i do submit that it was a spark and turning point in the game. hard not to call it a turning point though as the first goal came soon after. you do have to admit though that carcillo wasn't the wisest to take that fight.
