i probably missed some.. but i'll edit this if/when it comes up

bryz isn't playing much, he's been the 3rd goalie most of the time behind radislav stana who has been lights out.. and apparently it's the KHL norm to scratch your 'backup' and have your 3rd goalie be the backup :noidea:

Fedetenko is the exact opposite.. he's averaging close to 20 minutes a game, but not really lighting up the score sheet

Voracek is injured, sprained knee, probably out at least 3 more weeks

Read is playing on a line with Carl Hagelin (NYR) and overwhelming the swedish junior league.. they're too fast to keep up with

Briere and Giroux are shredding the DEL as well.. Briere has 3 goals (hat trick) and 4 assists in 2 games.. Giroux has 1 goal and 5 assists

Simmonds has been relatively quiet.. edit: by relatively quiet i mean he has 1 goal and 7 assists in 7 games.. also has 33 PIMs (most, 22ish, came in a game against the Krefeld Penguins)

Sestito notched a gordie howe hat trick in his first game with Sheffield over the weekend

you can normally find KHL and DEL streams, but KHL games are on around now (bryz is playing currently), and DEL games come on in the early afternoon

HockeyBuzz.com - Bill Meltzer - Meltzer's Musings: Monday Schedule, Sunday Highlights, Bryzgalov

meltzer's blog on hockeybuzz recaps the games more in detail, and posts links when streams are availalbe.. if you're gunna read one hockey writer, he's the one.. very thorough and a lot of my information comes from his stuff haha.. just wanna have it on here too for discussion

Well that's to bad. Those times don't fit in too well with my daily schedule, although I could use the laptop when working out to catch some of it. Any hockey is good hockey..

truth.. i wanna try and catch some DEL games because from the sounds of it, giroux and briere are a force.. personally i think briere should start the season on teh top line w/ G and hartnell

in conjuction with that, read is playing center in SWE and has been close to 60% in the faceoff circle.. i think he could be a fine 3rd line center if need be

hartnell.giroux.briere
schenn.couturier.voracek
talbot.read.simmonds
rinaldo/wellwood/sestito/fedetenko/harry z

i think that's what the top 9 should look like whenever we start teh season

Not bad for a third stringer

indeed.. hopefully he does more of that in his starts.. cant blame CSKA for playing stana though, in like 10 games he's got a sub 2.00 GAA (last time i checked).. he's been ridiculous

couple other notes (mostly on defense where everyone is missing from above)

1. grossmann will probably be playing in sweden eventually.. i believe he'll be on read's team if he does start to suit up

2. my guess is if tomorrow's CBA meeting doesn't go well and the NHL cancels another month of hockey, hartnell will go play for KalPa in finland (part owner with timonen and kapanen).. he's been talking about it lately

3. coburn is in calgary, not sure if he's skating with the flames though

4. no idea what L. Schenn is up to, i think i read somewhere that he was practicing with his junior team (Kelowna).. and i think there are a few NHL-ers practicing with them these days.. couple canuck guys i think

Luke Schenn better not be getting any fatter, or at least better be giving some of it to Couturier.

And for your viewing pleasure

Heard Bryz was good in this game, too.

also, bryz did not play in CSKA's shutout win over Lev (Voracek still out)

Stana is apparently a KHL beast. Maybe we should try to convince everyone that Stana is bryz whenever the time comes for him to come back?

I wonder if Danny is a -10 too??

Hahaha I doubt it. The polar bears are dominating their competition right now. Briere/giroux might have more goals then their opponents have scored combined
