Totally it makes less opportunity for the weird bounce and the ice is faster for the PK.

I have to add that all of this angst that Leafs fans are currently feeling would have been avoided if the Flames would have squeaked into the playoffs instead of the Habs. Leafs would have won in 4 or 5 games.
