I guess Ethan Bear has been receiving a bunch of racist garbage which is terrible on two levels - The first because racism is never acceptable and secondly because it wasn't his fault (check the above image).

I haven't seen anything from either the Oilers captain or organization as of yet condemning the racism directed towards Ethan Bear. I mean, something needs to be said.

Draisaitl is absolutely a keeper. That team just can't build anything around their two stars. Losing RNH probably won't help (although the $6M might be better spent elsewhere).

I think his trade value is at an all-time high currently and could fetch a great package that could (I emphasize could) make the Oilers a better team than what they are currently. I think it's a very tough trade to make and I think the chances of Draisaitl being traded are extremely low, but no playoff wins in two years while having two of the best players in the game is not great either.

He was pretty good value for the money last season, I have to think he's looking for a raise though. And who's going to be the backup?

They’re not getting him back for 1.5M this season. They’ll give him a stupid contract and bring in a guy like Keith Kincaid to back him up and be right back at square one.

Mikey Yup will back up Korpisalo.

Apparently they almost had a deal done last summer centered on Nuge and Korpi. Edmonton has interest.

Obviously, not trading for Nuge now. But I bet the Jackets will be calling. 25m in space and Laine the only big name to sign right now.

Lehtonen, Peeke, Texier and Grigorenko are all expiring and hopefully coming back. But that's not a giant outlay of cash for the lot.
