Tonight was only the 3rd time all season MacKinnon, Makar, and Rantanen all scored in the same game.
New Hockey fan (since the Kraken) at my 1st playoff game: for Experienced Hockey fans... did Cale Makar seal his fate with his cheap hit on McCann to take an ass-beating every time he plays Seattle for the rest of his career, or is that just how it goes in Hockey and it'll be water under the bridge? Our assumption at the arena is that McCann is out for the rest of however long the Kraken play this year, so not happy fans in the arena
What made it not a goal? And if it was for the reason described (a whistle, I think), why was there a review, at all? The puck was very clearly never controlled by the goalie and well into the goal.Obviously not a goal but love that they're letting the refs have it regardless.
The goalie had the puck under his pad and Schwartz clearly was pushing the goalie's pad backward into the goal. That's never going to be allowed in any circumstance. Honestly I think the NHL is too strict in calling it, but this one wasn't a goal. What made it not a goal? And if it was for the reason described (a whistle, I think), why was there a review, at all? In that case, that should have been the explanation... not that they blew the whistle (which is what it sounded like he said)The goalie had the puck under his pad and Schwartz clearly was pushing the goalie's pad backward into the goal. Very out-of-character for Makar - Not sure why he decided to lay out McCann like that.
/Have to think that's going to be a suspension
