My guess is the NHL is trying to guess how long they can comfortably make the length of Kadri's record FIFTH suspension and still give the Leafs preferential treatment.

Bettman is channeling his inner Clarence Campbell and is going to suspend Kadri for the rest of the playoffs. Then Bettman will show up at the game in Toronto, rioting ensues.

Obviously a hypothetical, but it would appear he is reinstated for Game 1 of Round 2 against (probably) Columbus

I was referring to your salary info. Kadri has 3 years left at $4.5 per. Not $40M over 6 years.
