Today's First-Pick attempt (they are now including compensatory picks). Not graded very high, haven't didn't make any trades.

Your score is: 9024 (GRADE: C)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 5: Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State (B)
Round 3 Pick 5: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Southern California (A+)
Round 4 Pick 5: Kyle Fuller, C, Baylor (A-)
Round 4 Pick 34: Jake Butt, TE, Michigan (B)
Round 5 Pick 5: Marquez White, CB, Florida State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 5: Keionta Davis, DE, Chattanooga (A)
Round 6 Pick 35: Tashawn Bower, OLB, LSU (B)
Round 7 Pick 5: Taquan Mizzell, RB, Virginia (A)

Didn't get safety or ILB help with the way the picks fell (didn't really reach, other than Roderick Johnson apparently). Was tempted to double up on WR with Switzer at 6.5, but Pharoh and Austin should be able to handle the slot responsibilities. Mizzell would be a passing down RB option; caught 75-721-4 in 2015 alone for Virginia.

Apparently you must not have filled what they considered were needs, although only misses I see are OT and S. Their grades for round 7 should be devalued, as at that point you are looking for fit and need more than best available, especially in a mock like this.

Yeah lol the guy had a 6th-7th round grade on CBS and we need a OLB at that point. I passed on OT because 3 linemen in a draft is just a lot. I did want to grad a S but couldn't pass on value.

Legitmate 3-5 staters in that draft though.

Taco, Wilson, Dupree, Fuller, and with out awful line Danny may be able to compete for a spot.

I tend to stay away from OG in my mocks, as I think the Rams have enough options at those positions already in house. I focus on LT (which needs to be early if intended to be a fix this year) and C personally. Free agency would be a better option at LT in theory, but there aren't many options there either.

Yeah I agree in terms of real life, I took Danny cause he was a good value at that spot.

I've been screaming for a center since before we botched the Robinson draft. Who I was pissed about. Time to call him a bust and slide him inside

Yea, I agree Shopson. This year's draft is fairly good for centers. We may have to wait on a LT but we shall see.

Munsoned! First-Pick is not a fan of Calvin, even though he was on the list of best available for that 7.5 pick and OLB was a top team need.

Your score is: 9135 (GRADE: C-)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 5: David Njoku, TE, Miami (Fla.) (A)
Round 3 Pick 5: Antonio Garcia, OT, Troy (B+)
Round 4 Pick 5: Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 34: Marquez White, CB, Florida State (A)
Round 5 Pick 5: Jon Toth, C, Kentucky (B)
Round 6 Pick 5: DeAngelo Brown, DT, Louisville (A+)
Round 6 Pick 35: Tedric Thompson, SS, Colorado (A-)
Round 7 Pick 5: Calvin Munson, OLB, San Diego State (C+)

Linebackers just didn't seem to be on their best available list when the Rams were on the clock. Might have to reach (according their rankings anyway).

This is what one author for the mock draft section at Walter Football stated about his projected fourth round pick for the Rams. I find it interesting that he reasoned that we would select a QB because "Goof" is so bad.

Los Angeles Rams: Jerod Evans, QB, Virginia Tech
VirginiaTech_logo.gif

"The Rams almost have to draft a quarterback at some point because Jared Goof has been that bad. I've been covering the NFL for almost 20 years, and the Rams, with Goof, are the worst team I've ever seen".

Round 3 Pick 14 (BALT): Chidobe Awuzie, CB, Colorado (A)

How You Matched Up:
1. Cleveland Browns - 10594
2. San Francisco 49ers - 10209
3. Philadelphia Eagles - 10107
4. Dallas Cowboys - 9981
5. Detroit Lions - 9920
6. Denver Broncos - 9909
7. Atlanta Falcons - 9894
8. Jacksonville Jaguars - 9821
9. Los Angeles Rams - 9795

Obviously traded down a few times (once in the 2nd to pick up a third, then traded down with that extra third twice to get 2 fourths). Hard to pass up some ridiculous value trades that the site offers, lol.

Here is a guy with some blazing speed. We might consider him in our draft selections.

John Ross runs unofficial 4.22 40-yard dash time at combine

Looks like we spent a lot of time with Ju-Ju Smith-Schuster at said combine and he worked out with Goff. Again, sometimes we get locked into somebody and overlook a guy like Ross. I don't know when that is ever going to change.

I like your draft Red. Pretty good at getting value picks or BPA and covering our needs. You might think about a career as a Football GM!

It sounds like Ross is going to go somewhere in the first round. After his 40, I doubt he lasts until our first pick. And it looks like Ross worked out with Goff as well.

Here is another guy I would have to have on the Rams if I was in a GM position. Garrett Bolles is a big and nasty OT that we are rumored to pick if he falls in the second. That would be a damn good pick that would slide GRob inside or put him on the bench as a back-up. He has a great story and a great motor as well as he really likes to win.
