Great run defense, mediocre pass defense. That is going to be the story on defense.

Too soon to say mediocre pass defense. Maxwell wasn't on the same page with Jenkins on one big competition against Dorsett -- more chemistry will help this. That slant pass to Andre Johnson was just a great play by a veteran big body WR and the best QB in the league -- Caroll had great burst to the ball and almost made a play. Not to mention we don't have Kiko/Kendricks/Ryans -- those guys are going to make a HUGE difference in the middle of the field and in pass rush/run stop. This defense could turn out to be very very good this year. We should have plenty of 3rd and long opportunities thanks to a great run defense, then our pass rush should be able to tee off in those situations. Health is #1

Sanchez is slightly off (not by too much on any of the passes actually). Passes seem to have more zip on them though... And twice good coverage.

Frankly I would not be too worried with Sanchez coming in -> he would still do better than 80% of the QB's in the league or so, it seems.

Sanchez is a bit high right now, but he looks more decisive in his progressions. Ball is coming out nicely out of his arm and he looks to have better zip on the ball -- but he's a bit high right now, and that one pass to the wide open Matthews was really bad. No reason to panic though, I like his mechanics, decisiveness and zip right now. He also looks very elusive in the pocket and has the ability and nerves to make the defender miss and collect more passing or running lanes. Just needs to shake the rust off and settle down a little bit with his throws.
