First and foremost -- looking for a healthy game, for both teams. I'm interested to see how the RG competition plays out, looks like Gardner has the first crack -- we really need someone to be just average here, anything more is a bonus. I'm also excited to see the performance of Nolan Carrol and Eric Rowe. Jaylen Watkins and Walter Thurmond are two other guys I'd like to pay attention too -- I think for Walt it is going to come down to health, but for Jaylen I want to see if he takes that 2nd year leap and fufils the draft promise I had for him a couple years ago.
I already know Matthews is going to be a big time player, but I want to see Huff prove all the doubters wrong. I really like this kid, same with my boy Marcus Smith who a lot of us were very high on during the draft process -- I've continued to back this kid regardless of his rookie year….now it's time to make an impact, I want to see it. Also very excited about Agholor.
Ryan Matthews should be fun watching in this type of offense, especially as Murray takes the day off. Explosive downhill player who fits in perfectly with what we want out of our RBs.
It will be fun checking out the depth on our D-line as well. I think I was the only Taylor Hart fan during the draft process, I hope he makes a nice year 2 leap and provides a good role player off the bench.
Hopefully Mark Sanchez looks more comfortable year 2.
I definitely want to see how the line looks, as well as the secondary. Hoping to get a good first look at Nelson Agholor too.
I got a Demarco Murray jersey as a present from my family, just tried to wear it for the game. But it is too damn hot here in Texas so I took it off...
From a jobs perspective, the Tebow/Barkley matchup will be fun to watch. I am rooting for Tebow, because I think Barkley sucks and is arrogant to boot. Tebow would at least provide a running dimension around the goal line.
Oh, and I remain on the Marcus Smith bandwagon. It's lonely on it, but there are a few of us. He has the size and athleticism. He just needs to learn technique and from the reports coming out of camp he has improved in that area with help from Connor Barwin.
Finally - At NFL Game Pass has been able now to synch the video with the Audio -> watching the game with Mike and Merryl (which is rather odd, when you get to watch the Colts announcers on screen).
Forget to mention Brandon Graham who I think is in store for a big year.
After just a couple plays, he looks very athletic and fluid out there. Also showed good strength ripping through a block to stop Frank Gore for no gain. This run D is going to be very good again this year.
