Finally have a league doing Auction Draft - tips/strategies?

Smo, here's another look at last year's auction draft. Here's the first 30 nominations, their prices, and the percentage of each owner's $280 budget.

so tentative plan should look something like this:

RB1 - spend 25-30% (counts me out of the top 3 RBs, I know, but should be able to get one from that next tier at that price, right?)
WR1 and WR2 - spend 40% (either 20%/20% or 25%/15% or something along those lines)

That looks like a pretty good plan to me...

Just be ready to completely abandon it if a great value presents itself on a player you weren't expecting.
