Wonder if the H.O.F will break tradition for him? Like, instead of just his face on his plaque, how about something with him doing is jump-throw to first?

Damn BigD lots of love coming from you today
WHAT???
Isn't Jeter special enough for the H.O.F to break tradition for him?
No. As a Yankees fan I have always enjoyed watching him play, but I would put him about 3rd behind 2 Pirates at SS all time. Great.......first ballot HOF.....but not greatest thing since sliced bread.
Sliced bread is overrated... i dont slice my bread, i rip it into pieces... ripped bread>>>sliced bread
Jeter is thought of as a great defensive SS for 2 plays in my mind. The dive into the stands which is nice and the throw against the A's to home.
Hey OBX,
Intangibles at play here?
Nah I always thought he was like Ripken. If you hit the ball to him he would make the play. Just don't make either of them chase the ball, cause they are not getting there.

Ripken is another guy who is overrated. The streak is great, but comon.
And a single for Jeter in his first a.b. Yankee fans everywhere wet themselves with joy......

And they will say he "is back" and once again the best hitter in the majors!
I really don't get the hate for Jeter, and i'm a Yankees-Hater from way back. The guy has always been the consummate professional in my opinion.
Now, A-Rod is another story...
Because it usually has little to nothing to do with Jeter, and much more to do with ribbing Yankee fans, especially the ones that hold him in God like status and acclaim. I have seen this done so well by a group of folks on CBS so well that they elevated Jeter bashing and hating to an art form.
99.9% of the time, I am against acting like this. But, to watch someone over-react to something someone has posted can sometimes be a laugh riot.
