49ers report: Miller not cleared to practice

Fullback Bruce Miller has not been cleared to practice after sustaining a concussion Sunday, according to a report the 49ers filed to the league office on Monday.

The 49ers did not have an official practice on Monday, but they were required to submit a practice participation report. The 49ers held a walk-through. But the report is based on what the players would have done Monday if it had been a full practice.

Tackle Anthony Davis (ankle) was listed as limited. All the others listed on the participation report have been listed in previous weeks and played Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. The 49ers will hold a full practice on Tuesday.

Here are the practice participation report the 49ers submitted Monday to the NFL:

49ERS PRACTICE REPORT
Did not participate: FB Bruce Miller (concussion)
Limited participation: T Anthony Davis (ankle), CB Chris Culliver (shoulder), WR Michael Crabtree (foot), RB Frank Gore (knee), WR Braylon Edwards (knee)

RAVENS PRACTICE REPORT
Did not participate: CB Chris Carr (back), DT Arthur Jones (head)
Limited participation: LB Ray Lewis (foot), LB Dannell Ellerbe (thigh), S Haruki Nakamura (thigh)
Full participation: RB Anthony Allen (thigh)

I guess this means we'll run alot of 2 and 3 TE sets with a single back?

Time to declare Soap, or Boone or Staley eligible.

This is a big loss IMO. He was blocking really well for us. We were not able to run the ball as well without him.

he's been coming along very nicely. there was a big change in our blocking when he got hurt. gonna have to keep vernon in the block against the ravens. gonna limit our big play ability on offense when we need it most

They're planning on using Peele in Miller's spot. How is he as a blocker? I understood he was picked up as mostly a blocking TE, but I would expect him to catch a pass or two out of the backfield as well.

Only thing I trust him doing is diving 1 yard for 1st downs.

if rathman can turn a defensive lineman into a fullback, shouldnt be too hard with an actual running back

miller's blocking has allowed vernon to run more pass routes. so ya losing miller is a huge deal
